With a layer of golden coat which looks like their armoury, I some how worry that it's velvet rather than natural coloration

Was taken out while it was brooding, after that, it was still brooding, wonderful since it doesn't swallow the eggs after disturbance, but was worried bout the health as it looks pretty skinny
