Okay; ID problem solved! I've got 3 assamensis (2 males, 1 female) and 1 female blosyrus. So here are the correct photos.
The two assamensis amles are having THE fight now. They will nearly finish each other off to see which is the strongest. This fight takes place once and then it's setlled. It's very, very rough. They bite into everything; eyes, gills, flesh, fins. But I let them be because he has to happen.
This is one specimen that could be either a juvenile terra cotta or it's one of the probable new species from Meghalaya - can't tell until it's larger.
Their vertical bar pattern is interesting as it's very much interrupted and not complete; more centered laterally (not common in Badis badis group species). So far it reminds me of the bar pattern in Badis ferrarisi - though I'm not implying my fish are ferrarisi because they are simply not based on a large number of characters. It's just the resembling pattern.

New kyar photo update - see the female! Since I've gotten the male he grew a higher back; makes him look like a bull. He's about 80 mm now I guestimate.
