Two more species are on their way to me, both wild: Badis kanabos and a fifth new Dario (no not sp. Bangladesh). If all goes well I'll make some photos once I have them.
But that's not all I just heard, there's also some specimens (possible kanabos though yet unsure) from three locations (which unfortuntely got mixed up): Shella, Assam, Meghalaya and another possible new Badis species collected together with the new Dario. All fishes could be at my place next week so there'll be some photo taking then....
The new Dario comes from Meghalaya and was discovered last month by my Indian friend Andrew Rao (from the new Nandus), who is an exporter of tropical fish in Bengal and Peter Cottle and his crew. A type series is reserved for someone as well as DNA material.
The Badis collected with this fish is of an unknown ID and perhaps represents a new species of the Badis badis group. Up to now only one photo has been made which shows the fish in fright colour so ID'ing is impossible. I'm getting two - hopefully a pair - so I'll try to ID with Britz then as far as they will allow us. Same goes for the assorted fish.
