Ich habe was zum Problem von Stefan gefunden:

Internet Explorer Bugs and Block Level Content Unfortunately the most commonly used browser on the market - Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows - has a fairly serious bug regarding the treatment of block level elements and margins. Depending on the version and mode it may treat such elements as inline content regarding centring. The mode IE uses is based upon the DOCTYPE provided at the top of the HTML document, this is called Doctype Switching. When the bug is triggered: Auto margins will not work

Und der Gewinner heisst MS Internet Explorer! Da ich die Automargins gesetzt habe (mit dem Ziel der Seitenzentrierung) ignoriert dies der IE und dann haben wir den Salat wie ihn Stefan nun hat. Es gibt einen Java-Script Hack, der das verhindert soll. Ich schaue mir das einmal an ... aber bin nicht sonderlich scharf, das schnell zu machen, weil ich damit ziemlich in den Browser-Versions-Sumpf gerate. Ich empfehle den Wechsel des Browsers zu einem ordentlichen. Gruss, chk

Hallo! Ich habe Mozilla Firefox 3.5.7 Bei mir sitzt das Forum in der Mitte (habe auch einen Breitbildschirm) Das horizontale scrollen ist auch weg. Also alles ok. Gruß Carmen

I'm not familiar with that code but perhaps it needs something like 'center' in it?

With FF the Forum is indeed centered as Christian mentioned.

Eben, genau, so. Für jeden das Seine. Deswegen fand ich den Vorschlag von Thomas P. auch sehr gut. Und wisst Ihr was?! Wer wenn nicht wir, sollten in Sachen Labyrinther-Deutsch normativ wirken und sie unter die Leute bringen?!
